The Dream V.14 belongs to the absolute top of STEALTH Audio Cables' program and was the reference model within the Dream series for many years, with only the much more precious Dream Royale above it.

 

In the development of the Dream V.14, STEALTH paid a lot of attention to the combination of conductor material, geometry, dielectric and mechanical construction. The cable uses a hybrid conductor structure in which flat silver, round silver and copper are combined. The individual conductors are constructed according to a complex geometry in order to limit electrical and electromagnetic influence as far as possible.

 

An important part of the design is the para-vacuum dielectric developed by STEALTH. The aim is to minimise the amount of insulation material actually in contact with the conductors. This reduces energy storage around the conductors and allows the signal to be transmitted as freely as possible.

 

The V.14 also features a carbon fibre-based construction and is mechanically adjustable, with STEALTH paying much attention to controlling resonances and vibrations in the cable itself.

 

This copy is executed as a bi-wire version. The low and middle/high sections of a suitable loudspeaker are separately controlled. STEALTH itself is a strong supporter of bi-wiring because it can further limit the influence of low and middle/high flows.

 

Soundly, the Dream series is known for an exceptionally open, fast and transparent presentation. The cable does not explicitly try to add its own sound character, but to transmit as much information, dynamics and spatiality as possible of the connected equipment.

 

Especially within a system at reference level, the combination of rest, detailing and a very natural spatial image can be impressive. The Dream V.14 shows how much influence a speaker cable can still have when the rest of the installation performs at a similar level.
