A rare and visually breathtaking moving coil cartridge by Etsuro Urushi: the Cobalt Blue version. This element combines traditional Japanese Urushi lacquer technique with uncompromising high-end audio technology.

 

Each cartridge is finished by hand according to ancient Urushi techniques, which not only ensures the deep, layered colour and shine, but also contributes to the resonance control of the housing.

Sound character

The Etsuro Urushi is known for its exceptionally refined and natural appearance. The sound image is rich in micro detail, with an organic flow and an almost tangible spatiality.

Voices are performed with an impressive presence, while instruments retain a realistic body and texture. The balance between detail and musicality is rarely well struck: analytically where necessary, but always fluent and involved.
