The Avantgarde Uno SD is the successor to the Uno XD. As usual with Avantgarde, it is active low and you can use an external amplifier for the middle and high. New is the patented iTron amplifier technology that can be built into all Avantgarde models via a module. Avantgarde claims a true and perfect display using iTron amplifiers. So you can now turn your Avantgarde speaker into a fully active system if desired.
