The Diamond is the top model within AudioQuest's USB cable program and has been developed for high-quality digital connections with as clean and undisturbed a signal as possible.

 

AudioQuest uses 100% Solid Perfect-Surface Silver (PSS) for signal guides. This is the most high-quality conductor material of AudioQuest and consists of massive, extremely pure silver conductors. The solid construction prevents interaction between separate strands of wire and is designed to minimise distortion and timing errors in the digital signal.

 

In addition, the Diamond has AudioQuest's Carbon-Based Noise-Dissipation System . Multiple layers of metal and carbon-containing material have been used to absorb and drain high-frequency RF pollution as much as possible before it can affect the sensitive signal and earth connection.

 

Also the well-known 72V Dielectric-Bias System (DBS) is present. The insulation material is permanently polarized, with the aim of reducing energy storage in the dielectric and keeping the electrical properties of the cable as stable as possible.

 

The internal insulation consists of Hard-Cell Foam , where the high proportion of air around the conductors further reduces energy absorption through the insulation material. In addition, internal conductors are controlled by AudioQuest and applied in a specific direction to eliminate RF noise as effectively as possible.
