Living Voice R80

Last spring we listened to this one in Munich and then we knew it already, this one we must have. The desire for a larger floor-standing speaker to fill the gap between the Avatar series and the Vox Olympian models. Technically, he's closer to the Avater than the Vox Olympian, but this is because Kevin Scott can only do something good, and not half... Designing a horn speaker that would come near the Vox olympian would be a compromise and it fits..So the idea became to perfect the mdm topology completely with the available knowledge and skills that is available at the moment. The R80 is the result of this. He has done 4 years about the development and final fine tunes of the R80, most of which went into developing the crossover, the heart of the speaker.

 

As usual with Living Voice there is a choice between the inboard crossovers and the outboard crossovers. We have chosen the inboard version, because it is more practical for us.
