The Ultra Mini is a compact mechanical insulator of Stillpoints, developed to effectively reduce unwanted vibrations and resonances between audio equipment and the subsurface. Despite its modest size, the Ultra Mini uses the multi-layered mechanical filtering technique known to Stillpoints.

 

Instead of simply decoupling equipment with a soft material, the Ultra Mini works with a mechanical system in which ceramic balls and various materials work together to drain and dissipate vibration energy. This can reduce both ambient vibrations and resonances generated by the audio component itself.

 

The Ultra Mini can be placed directly under a component, but can also be mechanically coupled through the thread connection depending on the application. This makes them widely usable including DACs, streamers, CD players, preamps, power amplifiers and loudspeakers.

 

A set of four provides a stable support and allows the isolators to position exactly below the supporting points of a component.

 

In a high-quality installation, good mechanical decoupling can contribute to a calmer and cleaner sound image, with small details becoming easier to hear and the spatial image can be better realised.

 

A nice and relatively simple upgrade for those who want to tackle the mechanical optimisation of their installation seriously.
