Stillpoints Ultra Mini

Returned and now available: two sets of Stillpoints Ultra Mini, each set comprising 4 pieces.   The Ultra Mini is a compact mechanical isolator from Stillpoints, designed to effectively reduce unwanted vibrations and resonances between audio equipment and the surface it stands on. Despite its modest size, the Ultra Mini utilises the multi-layered mechanical filter technology for which Stillpoints is renowned.   Rather than simply decoupling equipment with a soft material, the Ultra Mini employs a mechanical system in which ceramic balls and various materials work together to absorb and dissipate vibration energy. This reduces both vibrations from the environment and resonances generated by the audio component itself.   The Ultra Mini can be placed directly beneath a component, but can also be mechanically attached via the threaded connection, depending on the application. This makes them highly versatile for use with, amongst others, DACs, streamers, CD players, pre-amplifiers, power amplifiers and loudspeakers.   A set of four provides stable support and allows the isolators to be positioned precisely beneath the component’s load-bearing points.   In a high-quality system, effective mechanical decoupling can contribute to a smoother and cleaner soundstage, making subtle details easier to hear and allowing the spatial imaging to come into its own.   A stylish and relatively simple upgrade for anyone serious about optimising the mechanical performance of their system. A total of 2 sets of 4 pieces are available.
