Traded in and now available: a beautiful STEALTH Śakra V.12 XLR interconnect with a length of 1.0 meters, performed as a balanced stereo.

 

The Śakra V.12 belongs to the absolute top of the American STEALTH Audio Cables program and was developed without the usual compromises in the field of conductor material, dielectric, connectors and mechanical construction.

 

One of the most special features of the Śakra is the use of extremely thin. Unlike conventional metal conductors with a crystalline structure, STEALTH opts for an amorphic alloy, missing the usual crystal boundaries in the material. The aim is to transmit the audio signal as homogeneously as possible.

 

At least as special is the insulation around the conductors. STEALTH combines porous PTFE with its own helium-filled dielectric. Helium has very favorable dielectric properties and together with the special multicore geometry ensures a particularly low energy storage around the signal guides.

 

The connectors are also fully developed by STEALTH itself. The XLR connectors use solid silver contacts, modified PTFE insulation, a Kevlar composite construction and enclosures in which carbon fibre and titanium are used.

 

The connection between the conductors and connectors is not soldered. STEALTH uses a very high pressure crimp connection, creating a so-called cold-weld. This creates a direct mechanical and electrical connection without soldering material between conductor and contact.

 

Much attention has also been paid to mechanical resonances and to the relationship between capacity, induction and resistance. Almost every part of the Śakra has been developed for one purpose: to influence the audio signal as little as possible.

 

Soundly, the Śakra V.12 is known for its exceptional transparency, speed and resolution, but especially for the way in which those properties are combined with rest and natural timbres. The cable reveals a lot of information without artificially presenting the music sharply or analytically.

 

The result is an interconnection that belongs at the reference level and can, especially in a very high-quality installation, fully demonstrate its qualities.
