Audioquest Blizzard XTRM 2.0m

Now available: an AudioQuest Blizzard XTRM high-end power cord with a length of 2.0 meters.

 

The Blizzard XTRM is one of AudioQuest's high-quality power cables and is designed for use with both source components and powerful amplifiers. The design focuses not only on unhindered power supply, but above all on effective disposal and suppression of high-frequency pollution that can penetrate a high-quality audio system via the grid.

 

For the conductors, AudioQuest uses Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+). This very pure copper is used in a True-Concentric construction, where the conductors are also carefully controlled in direction. The goal is to minimise distortion and efficiently remove RF noise.

 

An important technology within the Blizzard XTRM is ZERO-Tech . Unlike conventional cable constructions, it is designed without characteristic impedance, so that high power peaks are minimized. This makes the Blizzard XTRM not only suitable for DACs, streamers and preamps, but also for integrated amplifiers and powerful power amplifiers.

 

In addition, AudioQuest uses RF/ND-Tech Noise Dissipation, developed to reduce induced radio frequency pollution before it can affect the connected electronics.

 

Also the well-known 72V Dielectric-Bias System (DBS) is present. This system keeps the insulation material of the cable permanently polarized and is designed to further reduce the influence of the dielectric and high frequency noise.

 

The XTRM version stands out from the regular Blizzard due to its high-quality connectors with Hanging-Silver contacts on red and molybdenum copper. These connectors come from AudioQuest's high-quality Storm Series and form a clear upgrade to the standard connectors of the regular Blizzard.

 

Within a high-quality installation, the Blizzard XTRM can contribute to a calmer background, more definition and a freer dynamic display, without unnecessarily limiting power supply to powerful components.
